Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does Another Mother do?

We provide practical, non-judgemental housekeeping and family support for busy families across Fremantle and Perth. From cleaning and laundry to decluttering, organising, errands and seasonal resets, our team of local mums help lighten the mental load so your home — and head — can breathe.

  • Who will come to my home?

You’ll be matched with one of our trusted team members — all experienced local mums who understand how real family life looks. Every team member is carefully selected, trained and supported by us, and brings empathy, care and confidentiality to every visit.

  • Do I need to clean before you come?

Absolutely not. We have a strict no-judgement policy. We expect toys on the floor, dishes in the sink and laundry piles that have been haunting you for weeks — that’s why we’re here. You don’t need to tidy up before we arrive.

  • What areas do you service?

We’re based in Fremantle and the majority of our families live south of the river. However we can service surrounding suburbs and have visited clients in North Perth, City Beach and other areas north of the river. It depends on where our team are located and how far they are happy to drive in peak traffic! Not sure if we cover your suburb? Send us a quick message and we’ll let you know.

  • How do I book?

    You can:

Book directly using our live calendar.

Request a booking if your schedule’s flexible (we often find earlier spots this way).

Or book a 15-minute discovery call with Hannah to talk through what kind of support would help most.

  • What happens at the first visit?

At your first session, we’ll spend a few minutes chatting through your priorities and any particular areas of focus. From there, we get straight to work — no fuss, no judgement. You can be home, out running errands, or resting while we take care of things.

  • What should I expect from a 3 or 4-hour service?

Every home is different, so what we can achieve depends on your space and needs. In three hours, we might complete a solid tidy, kitchen and bathroom clean, plus some laundry. In four hours, we can go a little deeper — adding organising, decluttering or extra detail cleaning.

  • Do you bring your own products and equipment?

Yes. We use our own professional-grade, non-toxic cleaning products made in Melbourne, scented with natural essential oils. They’re safe for babies, pregnant mums and pets. We also use reusable cotton waffle cloths (hot washed between cleans) and high-quality tools. No need to provide anything, unless you have a specific requirement.

  • Can I choose what you focus on?

Definitely. Every session is tailored. Before your booking, you can tell us your top priorities — or we can help you decide what will make the biggest impact on your day-to-day.

  • Are your services safe and insured?

Yes. Another Mother is fully insured, and all staff are covered. We take great care to ensure professionalism, reliability and safety in every home. We require our team to hold police clearances and working with childrens checks.

  • How do payments work?

All payments are made securely through Square, and invoices are sent via Xero. You can pay instantly online or through your saved card on file, simple and safe. We invoice regular clients on the last day of the month for all their services booked in the upcoming month. This is flexible and can be adjusted if things change at any time.

  • Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes! Our gift vouchers are one of our most popular options — perfect for baby showers, birthdays or new parents. You can purchase them directly through our website under Shop → Vouchers & Gifts.

  • Can I book recurring services?

Yes. Most families choose weekly or fortnightly sessions for consistent support. We’ll reserve your regular time slot so your home stays on track, and you don’t have to think about rebooking.

  • What makes Another Mother different from other cleaning services?

We’re not a cleaning company — we’re a support network for mums. Every team member is a local mother, and every service is built around empathy, care and community. When you book Another Mother, you’re not just getting a cleaner home — you’re investing in your own wellbeing, and helping create flexible jobs for other mums.
