Housekeeping with heart.
By mums, for mums.
Mums Need Mums
Another Mother was founded on a simple truth: we weren’t meant to do this alone.
Parenthood is relentless, joyful, exhausting, beautiful, and often isolating. The mental load is real. The house is rarely quiet. And asking for help? That can feel like the hardest part of all.
I’m Hannah, a single mum and the founder of Another Mother. This business was born from my own lived experience — navigating early motherhood with a colicky baby, postnatal depression and anxiety, and no village to lean on. I know how heavy it all can feel. And I also know how life-changing it is when the right kind of support shows up.
That’s why Another Mother exists: to provide non-judgemental, practical housekeeping and family support. We’re a team of local mums helping other mums, creating breathing space in homes so families can reset, rest and thrive.
Motherhood and the Mental Load
Behind every family is a thousand invisible tasks.
Remembering appointments, restocking the pantry, folding the laundry, organising presents, buying new clothes — the list never ends. This unseen workload, often carried by mothers, is exhausting.
At Another Mother, we see you. We know how heavy the mental load can be, and we step in to carry some of it for you. Our services aren’t just about sparkling kitchens or folded towels — they’re about giving your mind space to breathe.
Whether you know exactly what you need, or you just know you need some help but have no idea in what form, we can get to work and make things easier. That’s the magic of a team of mums, we just get it!
Our Wider Cause
Another Mother was created to support mums in every sense of the word.
On one side, we’re here to ease the mental and physical load of family life with non-judgemental, practical help at home. On the other, we’re just as passionate about supporting mums who need flexible, meaningful employment.
All of the women in our team have experienced big career breaks, single parenthood, inequality or significant life challenges that make traditional jobs hard to access. Too often, their skills, experience and value are overlooked. We’re changing that by offering flexible work, supportive conditions and the dignity of being employed in roles that matter.
This creates a full circle of care: mums helping other mums, families thriving because they feel supported, and women in our community rebuilding their working lives with confidence and stability.
Every booking with Another Mother is more than a clean home, it’s an investment in mothers supporting mothers, and a more compassionate, connected way of living.
Beyond Clean Homes
It can feel as if a tidy home is the sign of a “good” parent, but we know that isn’t the truth.
Clutter, mess and unwashed dishes aren’t moral failings, they’re a natural part of family life.
At Another Mother, we believe your worth as a parent has nothing to do with the state of your floors. That’s why we bring non-judgemental support into every home we enter. Whether your place looks lived-in or completely chaotic, we meet you where you are, with empathy and care.
Asking for Help is Hard
We get it, asking for help is tough, particularly in a society that tells you that you can and should have it all and do it all (with a smile on your face to boot).
Whether it’s pride, fear of judgement, or maybe simply that we’ve been taught we should manage everything ourselves, remember motherhood was never meant to be done alone.
Another Mother exists to change that. Booking us isn’t about admitting defeat — it’s about choosing support. It’s about saying yes to breathing space, yes to calm, and yes to building your own modern village.
So many of our clients tell us that what they value most is the ability to put the kids to bed in the evening and actually sit down with a partner, a friend, a book, and do nothing. This is your chance to carve out a little time to relax and connect.
